NEW SOUTH WALES VISITATION. UNCOMFORTABLE DAY AT SYDNEY. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyrignt. Sydney, Dec. 12. . Violent dust storms, intense heat, and a cyclone were the evils which visited New South Wales yesterday. Cessnock and the surrounding towns received a terfjfic battering, fences and lines being down in all directions. Houses were unroofed and several people were injured by flying debris. The dust storms forced a plane, carrying Christmas air mail for England,, to land at Bourke, where it had to be tied down for the night. The metropolis and country towns sweltered, the highest temperature being 109 degrees at Walgett. Thousands of Sydney people spent the night on the beaches. Intense heat was experienced in Western Queensland, some places registering 115 degrees.
