CRASH INTO CAMPERS

AEROPLANE CAUSES FATALITY. WOMAN KILLED; DAUGHTER HURT. By Telegraph—Press Assn.-Copyright. Rec. 12.45 a.m. Sydney, Dec. 5. An aeroplane piloted by Mr. Douglas Way when taking off from Crescent Head Beach, 310 miles north of Sydney, to-day, crashed into a party of campers in a tent. Mrs. Violet McKernan, aged 60 years, was killed, and her daughter, Miss Thelma McKeman, aged 23, was seriously injured. The other campers had narrow escapes from injury. The plane was wrecked. Mr. Way and his companion received minor injuries.
