METHODISTS’ SERVICES

FAREWELL. PRESENTATION MADE. Mr. and Mrs. S. W. Hills were farewelled last week by members of the Eltham Methodist Church and presented with a tea waggon and carpet. In making the presentation Mr. R. Lewis expressed good wishes to the departing members in their new home at Waitara. Mr. J. Cocker presented Mr. Hills with a silver-mounted pencil as a mark of appreciation of assistance given to layreaders. The Rev. H. Spencer expressed the regret of members at the loss of Mir. and Mrs. Hills and conveyed good wishes for their future. . Bruce Hills received a book, Dawn Hills a doll and Mrs. Hills a bouquet and Mr. Hills spoke in acknowledgment. Community singing was arranged under the leadership of Mr. A. H. Turner. Items were given by Mis_ M. Pinny, Mrs. Sybil Pennington, Mr. L. Haycock, Mr. H. Reynolds and Miss V. Davis.
