MAHOE WINS TENNIS. . MATCH AGAINST ROWAN TEAM. A team of Rowan tennis players played a match with Mahoe during the weekend.' Owing to rain setting in some of the games had to be abandoned. Mahoe Won by 13 sets (92 games) to 4 sets (60 games). The results were as follows, Rowan players being mentioned first:-> Combined doubles: Dempsey and Miss Sattler lost to B. Wilson and Mrs. Wilson o—6, Sutton and Miss Stone lost to Miss Rawle and D. Cave 2—6, Lines and Miss Warner lost to Miss Tobeck and G. Cave 5—6. Cuff and Mrs. Dunlo® lost to Miss Mellow and Jones 5—6, Dunlop and Miss Ricketts lost to Miss D. Shrimpton and Corbett I—6, Old and Miss Price lost to K. Burrows and Mrs. Sanders 5—6. Women’s doubles: Misses Sattler and Stone lost to Mrs. Wilson and Rawle I—6, Mrs. Dunlop and Miss Warner lost to Misses Mellow and Tobeck o—6, Misses Ricketts and Price lost to Mrs. Anderson arid Miss Shrimpton 5—6. Men’s doubles: Dempsey and Sutton lost to Wilson and D. Cave 4—6, Lines and Cuff beat G. Cave and Jones 6—5, Dunlop and Old lost to Burrows and Corbett 2—6. Men’s singles: Sutton beat B.
