HOOLIGANISM AT MEETINGS.

Sir,—l wish to express my indignation at the conduct of three young hooligans who attended Mr. Skoglund s meeting at Ngaere last night. Had the persons in question had one particle of British fair play in their composition they would have appreciated the fact that Mr. Peter Skoglund although quite unaccustomed to platform work, had courageously risen to the occasion when his father through illness was unable to fulfil his engagements. Happily there are still many fair minded Britishers in Ngaere, as was evidenced by Mr. Bob Wickham when he rose and stated that “Britishers would give even a Chinaman a hearing. —I am, etc., NGAERE. Stratford, Nov. 25.
