CHILDREN’S PARTY HELD

LABOUR PARTY FUNDS BENEFIT. Games and dancing were conducted at a party for children at the Workers’ Social Hall, New Plymouth, on Saturday afternoon. Sweets were distributed to the children. The party, which was in aid of Labour Party funds, was organised by Mrs. E. Leon with the aid of Mesdames E. Faulkner, E. Fraser, W. and J. Wall, G. Christiansen and E. and F. Frith. Recitations were given by Joyce Shotter, Mabel and Jack Faulkner, Miss Pat Sturmey gave a pianoforte solo and Miss Mouatt a Highland fling. Miss Pat Sturmey played accompaniments.
