BETTER WEATHER SOON By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. There will be scattered passing showers in districts with a' westerly aspect and in the far south but otherwise the weather will be fair to fine, says the 4 p.m. forecast. Temperatures will be cool with some frosts inland in the South Island. A depression had crossed New Zealand at 9 a.m. on Sunday and an anti-cyclone of considerable intensity covered eastern Australia. Winds will be moderate to strong, south-westerlies predominating but veering at times to westerlies. Seas in New Zealand waters will be rough on the west coast and in the Cook and Foveaux Straits areas but elsewhere moderate. In the eastern Tasman Sea there will be strong winds between west and south and rough seas.
