FIELD IN CASES OF NEUROSIS. STUDY OF PSYCHO-THERAPY. By Association. Levin, Nov. 14. The need for clergy to be equipped by a study of psycho-therapy for dealing with neurotic conditions among parishioners was emphasised in a discussion yesterday at the Methodist Church district synod. The matter was raised by a report from the Dominion church welfare committee, which recommended that psychological finding arising from modern investigations into problems of neurotic personality should be related to the work of the ministry. Stating that a considerable percentage of physical ailments was the result Of neurosis, the Rev. P. R. Paris said that the position opened a useful field of service to ministers expert in psychology, and that ministry to a mind diseased was ultimately related to the cure of souls.
