Even Unto Accents
HERE seems to be no end to the varieties of spots into which we IQ can slip these days, and some of them carry euphonious and descriptive names. There ars moon spots (large), polka (medium, an old favorite), confetti (very colorful), coin (a little larger than polka), crown (quite a deal larger still), balloon (which can be a combination of very large and small spots), sago (very small), pin spots (which are smaller still), and carnival spots (which indicate a glad array of color). From which it would be obvious that spots are made to suit every style and size of figure.
A new interpretation of spots are the embroidered ones which come to us in metal threads on crisp taffeta 01* colored spots in uncrushable linens or matelasses. Occasionally we find a combination of spots and florals or spot's and stripes, and, whichever way it is, it is very attractive. In fact, one of the delights of the spring was the discovery among new fabrics opening.up of taffeta showing one or other of this interesting combination. Sometimes colored spots are ringed round in white, which is extremely effective, giving, as it does, an appearance of the . spot being slightly raised. Hats very often run to spots, especially when made of a piece of the frock fabric, and nothing looks smarter, although, of course, it is not new, 1 than a spotted cravat or triangular scarf when worn cowl fashion with a plain fabric suit. Spots will also play an important part in play suits and particularly in bathing suits and caps, and here again we shall find all sizes of spots in vogue. And to add further support to the slogan that the whole world is coming out in spots, we find that towelling for bathrobes has done likewise.
