STOLEN MEAL OF BANANASAn elephant, belonging to a circus, climbed into a van which was standing
in Coff’s Harbour railway yard, Sydney, recently, .and took possession of the vehicle.. ■ . .
The truck contained cases, of bananas. The elephant wound its trunk round one case, crushing the boards like. matchwood. It ate a quarter of the contents before an attendant saved the remainder and persuaded the elephant to leave the truck. .
