CLIFTON PARK TENNIS

OPENING OF NEW SEASON. At the opening of the Clifton Park Tennis Club’s season yesterday about 40 members and visitors were present, visitors being present from the Waitara, Motunut, Tikorangi and Urenui Clubs. Dr. Barclay apologised for the absence of the president, Mr. H. E. Vaughan, and stated that the courts were in better order than they had been on previous openings. This wa_ the result of the vast amount of rolling the courts had received. On various occasions he had noticed a. team of young women on the roller. He welcomed the visitors and new members. Miss Wilson was . then called on to serve the first ball.
