OHANGAI TENNIS OPENING

SELECTED TEAMS PLAY MATCH. Postponed from the previous Wednesday, the official opening day of the Ohangai Tennis Club was held on Tuesday. The weather was ideal, but shearing and other farm activities resulted in a smaller attendance than usual. In the absence of the patron, Mr. J. E. O’Shea, Mr. H. Dicksoii, president of the club, declared the courts open and expressed the opinion that the club would have a very successful season, as all members were very enthusiastic. The first ball was played by Miss I. O'Shea. A novel and amusing turn was given the proceedings by the singing of an original song by the school children. Teams led by P. O’Shea and H.
