REVENUE INCREASES

BRITISH EXCHEQUER RETURNS. British Official Wireless. Rec. 5.5 p.m. Rugby, Nov. 6. Exchequer returns show that the total ordinary revenue, excluding self-bal-ancing items, to date amounts to £350,174,357, compared with £333,046,439 at the corresponding date last year. The total inland revenue was £138,525,000 against last year’s £132,208,000, while receipts from Customs and excise were £180,541,000 against £173,743,000 for the same period of last financial year. The total ordinary expenditure, exclusive of self-balancing items, is £431,979,795, compared with £414,653,559 at the corresponding date of 1934.
