TIKORANGI NEWS

OPENING OF TENNIS SEASON. The official opening of the Tikorangi Tennis Club was held over the weekend. About 30 visitors and members were present, including players from Waitara and New Plymouth. A number of interesting games were played. Mr. and Mrs. B. T. Jury have returned after a brief visit to Taumarunui. Mr. and Mrs. L. Lepper entertained a number of young people at their home on Monday evening on the occasion of the birthday of their niece, Miss Audrey Smith. Games, competitions and dancing were enjoyed by all. A competition to guess the weight of the birthday cake was won by Mr. G. Jupp. Among those present were Mrs. L. Lepper and Misses A. Smith, I. Sarten, L. Ritchie, D. Jupp, M. Pretty and'M. Rolfe.
