SALE OF WORK HELD

WHITELEY CHURCH GUILD. A successful sale of work, arranged by foe guild in aid of its funds, was held In the Whiteley Methodist Church hall, New Plymouth, yesterday aftejrnoon. The work contributed by members of the guild found a ready sale with those pre-

sent and the funds should benefit to a worthwhile extent. An entertaining . musical programme, arranged by Mrs. R. L. Cooper, was given during the afternoon, Mesdames C. Steven, R. Hawkins and H. Avery contributing songs and pianoforte items. Mrs Steven played the accompaniments. Thanks to the performers were expressed by the Rev. F. Copeland. The stallholders ..were Mesdames P. Griffith, W. J. Aked, A. T. Moore, Smart and Miss Okey and afternoon tea was served by Mesdames C. G. Bottrill, G. H. White, A. E. Berry and Prentice.
