KURU DEFEATS GLENDINNING.

The Manawatu golf tournament, probably the wettest on record, was concluded to-day, the final after a fair morning being played in Continuous' rain. The open championship was won by W. T. Kuru (Waipukurau), who beat K. E. Glendinning. (Manawatu), the eliminated semi-finalists being J. Hape (Dannevirke) and O. H. Williams. Subsidiary match play competition winners were Dr. Hamilton Gibbs (Nelson), G. P. Roberts (Hutt) and A. Walden (Rotorua).
