Unveiling a memorial to Karl Peters, the German colonial pioneer, Dr. Albert Schnee, former Governor of German gSast .Africa, declared that Karl Peters’ spirit lived on. Despite the Treaty of Versailles, Germany was filled with ■« firm determination to recover livir* space for her people. Herr von Epp, addressing a large audience at the town hall following the unveiling, stressed Germany’s need for colonies and, urged the young people to study Peters’ life.
