SMALLEST FLAT RACE £4OO. ' ■■ By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright Sydney, Oct. 26. The Australian Jockey Club has decided to increase the stakes for the Handing added to the Summer Cup and the wick summer meeting by £lOOO, £250 beremaining £750 being distributed among tlie minor events.
The smallest prize for a flat race will be £4OO.
The recent spring carnival was the most profitable for years.
