CAUGHT IN SWELL
SCHOONER WASHED ASHORE. CREW OF FOUR SWIM TO SAFETY. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright Sydney, Oct. 25. The schooner Pearl was caught in a heavy swell at the entrance to Clarence River and was washed on to the beach, where it soon became a total wreck. The crew of four swam ashore. The Pearl, which is of modern design, was built in New Zealand and, sailed to Australia.
