UNSETTLED WEATHER
FINE MONDAY EXPECTED • By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The weather will be unsettled and squally with rain in most districts and some heavy falls, especially in the South Island, says the 4 p.m. broadcast. There will be thunder in places and temperatures are falling, snow being expected on some of the ranges. Conditions should improve on Sunday and the present indication are for fine weather prevailing in most' districts on Monday. The depression covering the Dominion has made extremely slow eastward progress and to-day is centred off the Canterbury coast. An anti-cyclone is now situated over eastern Australia arid should reach New Zealand by. Sunday. Winds will be moderate to strong northwesterly to westerly north of Westport and Akaroa, of gale force at places, and southerly elsewhere. Southerlies will soon extend over most of the Dominion. Seas will be high on the west coast of the North Island and rather rough to rough elsewhere.
