STATION AT LITTLE RIVER. THIEVES USE EXPLOSIVES. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, October 24. Using explosives to blow the door eft the safe in the Little River railway station early this morning, thieves made a haul of £l4 in cash. This was the third time that similar methods have been used to rob the station within the past 18 months. The station was locked at midnight and the discovery of the burglary was made at 6 a.m. to-day when the stationmaster’s room was opened in preparation for the day’s work.
