Miss P. Nowell is visiting Masterton to attend the Solway College old girls’ reunion. Miss A. Carrie is spending the weekend at Wanganui.

Mrs. H. Clifford Jones is visiting Russell.

Mrs. G, Moore, Manutahi, is spending a few days with Mrs. McKain.

Miss G. Ruscoe is visiting Wellington. Mrs. Gay, Waipukurau, is the guest of Mrs. B. Brown.

Mrs. J. Walsh, who has been staying with Mrs. B. H. Goldsmith, returned to Nelson yesterday. Mrs. Sexton, snr., Taihape, is visiting Eltham. (

Mrs. A. A. Stewart was hostess at bridge on Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. L. McKain returned on Wednesday from a holiday at Inglewood.

Mrs. H. Spencer and Mrs. L. Symrpons are visiting New Plymouth as delegates to the Dominion conference of the Methodist Women’s Missionary Union. . Mrs. B. H. Goldsmith entertained at afternoon tea on Thursday. Mrs. Weller, Auckland, is the guestof Mrs. G. H. P. Fitzgerald. Mrs. J. Bevlin has returned to Wellington after a visit to her mother, Mrs. Brown, Mangatoki. Mrs. M. Kebbel was hostess at bridge on Monday afternoon. Her guests were Mesdames A. Tiplady, J. Valentine, W. Langston, E. E. Carter, B. Martin (New Plymouth) iD. H. Saunders, P. de Launay and F. Coward. Prize winners were Mesdames A. Tiplady and P. de Launay. Mrs. H. P. Wills was hostess at an enjoyable bridge party on Tuesday afternoon. The room was prettily decorated with bowls of tulips and fritillarias. Her guests were Mesdames Abbott (Kaponga), S. W. Crawford, A. J. MacPherson, A. A. Ctewart, Masson (Wanganui), S. G. Cooper (Morrinsville) and G. D. McGregor and Miss E. Belcher.

Mesdames W. D. Hart, Ibbotsen (New Plymouth), R. H. Gover, B. H. Goldsmith and J. Walsh (Nelson) were Mrs. B. Brown’s guests at afternoon tea on Tuesday.

When Mrs. W. D. Hart entertained at bridge on Wednesday afternoon her guests were Mesdames F. Ham, C. A. Belcher, Ibbotsen (New Plymouth), R. H. 'Gover, B. H. Goldsmith, D. Syme, Higgins and Mackie. The first prize was won by Mrs. Ibbotsen and a consolation prize by Mrs. B. H. Goldsmith. > Bright bowls of tulips were the colourful decorations when Mrs. A. Mrs. W. D. Hart was hostess at an enjoyable bridge evening on Wednesday. Those present were Mesdames B. Brown, G. V. Riddle, W. Langston, B. Martin (New Plymouth), M. Kebbel and Ib ' botsen (New Plymouth), and Miss D. Riddle. The prize for highest score was won by Mrs. W. Langston and a consolation prize by Mrs. Ibbotsen.
