NORMANBY
Mrs. Adams, senr., Wellington, who has been the guest of her daughter-in-law, returned home'on Monday. Miss M. Palmer has returned from a motoring holiday to Palmerston North and the east coast. Mrs. R. L. Stanley, Hamilton, is the guest of Mrs. D. Frei. Mrs. Ellery, who had been visiting her sister, Mrs. D. Frei, has returned to her home at Marton. Mrs. W. G. Gane invited a number of the Normanby Methodist Church people to an afternoon at her home in honour of Mrs. L. Franklyn on the eve of her departure to live at New Plymouth. The Rev. B. Metson paid a tribute to Mrs. Franklyn’s enthusiastic and faithful service to the church for which she had acted as organist for 20 years. He expressed regret at her impending departure and wished her happiness in her .new home. Mr. Metson presented Mrs. Franklyn with a leather handbag. Miss Pearle Gane assisted her mother with the serving of afternoon tea.
