DEATH OF MR. W. P. MARK

FORTY YEARS AT STRATFORD. For 40 years a resident of Stratford, Mr. W. P. Mark, Brecon Road, died yesterday of heart failure. A keen gardener, he lived quietly and did not come in contact with people as much as if he had taken an active part in local body work, but he was respected by those who knew him well. Mr. Marl: was born and educated in England, and during his boyhood he spent some years in Spain, where his father held a consular post. He reached New Zealand at the age of 21 years and interested himself in farming in Tarataki. He leaves a widow and two children. June and John.
