DANCE AT HURFORD ROAD

CRICKET CLUB SOCIAL EVENT. A long dance organised by the Hurford Road Cricket Club was held on Tuesday evening when there was a very good attendance. Music was supplied by Boulton’s orchestra and Mr. I. Rea played an extra. Monte Carlo waltzes were won by Miss I. Marsh and Mr. A. Herbert and Mrs. T. James and Mr. H. Gilmer, snr. Euchre was held for non-dancers, the prizes being won by Mrs. N. Jury and Mr. T. James.

On Saturday evening next a cinematograph film is to be shown in conjunction with a lecture on modern pig farming by Mr. C. Sorenson. The Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union is holding a long night dance shortly to raise funds for the Plunket Society.
