COASTAL MOVEMENTS. The Nikau arrived at New Plymouth yesterday to discharge 75 tons' of cement from Tarakohe, and sailed later for Lyttelton. The Karu called at New Plymouth yesterday from Nelson, and was expected to sail late last night for Wellington and Dunedin. She is scheduled to load at Dunedin on Saturday for Oamaru, Ti-

maru, Lyttelton, Nelson and New Plymouth, where she is expected about October 25 (U.S.S. Co.). The Hauturu left Onehunga yesterday for New Plymouth, where she is due this morning to discharge 130 tons of general cargo before sailing for Wanganui. She is due at New Plymouth again next Wednesday (Northern Co.). The Holmglen from southern ports loaded at Wellington on Tuesday for Picton and New Plymouth, being due at New Plymouth to-day. She . will sail the same day for Port Waikato. (Hooker Bros.). The Omana is due at New Plymouth to-morrow from Wellington to discharge coal from Newcastle. She will proceed to Greymouth, Westport and Sydney. (U.S.S. Co.). The Parera loaded at Dunedin on Monday for New Plymouth, where she is due, via ports, to-morrow. She is due at Port Waikato the next day. (Hooker Bros.). MOVEMENTS OF OVERSEAS SHIPS. SPRINGBANK TO DISCHARGEThe Springbank arrived at New Plymouth last night from Auckland to discharge 3000 tons of phosphates from Nauru Island. DEPARTURE OF MIDDLESEX. The Middlesex, which arrived at New Plymouth on Saturday from Wanganui, departed last night for Auckland, from which port she will sail on October 29 for Avonmduth, Liverpool, Manchester and Glasgow. PORT HUNTER REPORTS. The C. and D. Line steamer Port Hunter has reported by wireless that she will arrive at Auckland from Glasgow and Liverpool next Wednesday morning. She has a general merchandise cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and New Plymouth. In addition io cargo the vessel has the following passengers: Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Cruickshank, Mr, J. F. Cruickshank, Miss E. I. Cruickshank, Miss E. Morris, Miss E. L. Murdoch, Miss E. R. Knapp, Mrs, E. W. Masterman, Mr. J, McAfa, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Penfold. Dr. E. W.
