ROYAL BRIDE WEEPS

marriage ends an old feud.

BOURBON AND SPANISH FAMILIES.

By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rome, October 12.

Princess Maria Mercedes of Bourbon and Sicily broke into tears during the ceremony of her marriage to the Infante Don Juan, youngest son of the former King Alfonso. The wedding ends an old feud between Alfonso’s family and the Bourbon claimants to the Spanish throne. The Infante Don Juan is regarded as the heir to the Spanish throne as a result of his two brothers’ marriages to commoners. All Royalist Spain crowded the church Of Santa Maria, one of the largest at Rome. The congregation included couples representative of every province of Spain dressed in national costume and 6000 court officials and grandees whose uniforms were ablaze with decorations.
