FAREWELL TO WOODS FAMILY. There was a large attendance at the Mimi school on Wednesday evening, the occasion being a farewell to Mr. and Mrs. G. Woods and family. Mr. Woods has been manager of the Waitoitoi factory for the past four years. Regret was expressed at his resignation. Mr. G. Baker made a presentation of a silver teapot to Mrs. Woods, a case of pipes to Mr.- Woods and a pencil and book to Masters A. and R. Woods. Miss Bessie Johnson presented Mrs. Woods with a bouquet. The greater part of the evening was spent dancing to music played by Mrs. R. Trass. Mr. J. Johnson was master of ceremonies. A lucky spot waltz was won by Mr. J. Zimmerman and Miss Phillips. Mr. and Mrs. G. Woods have gone to live at New Plymouth. ■ Mr. R. Weeden has returned from a short visit to Ohura. Mrs. C. Jones, Uruti, spent a few days with her mother, Mrs. N. Shogren.
