The roll stood at 99 pupils, with an average attendance of 96, stated the report. A “parents’ day” was held during the last term and was very successful. Parents and friends took keen interest in the work being carried out by the teachers and pupils. The girls’ basketball team won the B grade competition and reached the semi-final in the tournament later held at New Plymouth. As the team entered the A grade section of the tournament this was a very commendable performance. The school had also a Rugby • player, C. H. Harkness, representing Taranaki. The committee decided to hold a social evening in the near future at which theschool basketball and football teams will be the guests of honour. The senior basketball team had offered its help on the occasion.
