\ . CANADIAN FOURSOMES PLAYED. A Canadian foursomes competition for a trophy presented by Mrs. Collins was played by members of the Westown Women’s Golf Club yesterday.' TE NGUTU WOMEN’S GOLF. RESULTS OF COMPETITIONS. With the best combined nett scores in the qualifying rounds Mrs. Cottrell won . Miss Joyce’s trophy competed for by the Te Ngutu Golf Club Miss Alicd Betts was second and Mrs. Penny third. Miss Betts has reduced her handicap to 23 and Mrs. B. Barclay has gained a handicap of 35. Results of the September L.G.U. were: Miss K. O’Sullivan 101-27-74, Mrs. Cottrell 94-18-76, Miss Joyce 101-23-78, Mrs. Penny 109-30-79. MANGATOKI WOMEN’S GOLF. MRS. R. LEE WINS TROPHY. Mrs. R. Lee won the trophy presented by Miss E. Belcher to the Mangatoki Women’s Golf Club for a two-round competition. Mrs. Lee’s scores were: 99-32-67 and 104-32-72—139 net. Mrs. G. D. Macgregor 110 and 126 was the winner of the two medal rounds in the non-handicap division for Mrs. L. R. Pease’s trophy. 4 trophy has been given by Mr. R. H. Free, and the draw for the first round of this competition is: Miss E. Belcher and Miss G. Syme, Mrs. G. D. Macgregor and Mrs. D. H. Saunders, Miss G. Linn-and Mrs. G. Pease Mrs. G. Court and Mrs. N. Cards returned in a bogey match played on Thursday by members of the Manakorihi club were: A. G. Wills 1 down, T. Stockman 1 down, H. Beckbessinger 2 down, H. Alexander 5 down. A team of seven Tarurutangi women played at Waitara on Wednesday. The home team won two foursomes and halved two and won a single. ABBOTT FERNS RETAINED.
