SENSATIONAL FEUD

BATTLE WITH REVOLVERS.

FOUR PERSONS WOUNDED.

By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 10 p.m. St. Louis, Sept. 11. A political shooting closely resembling the assassination of Mr. Huey Long occurred at St. Louis to-day, when two local officials, one a city and one a State officer, and two police officers were wounded in an affray with pistols at the town hall. It was the first violent outbreak of a long-smouldering political feud.

Four politicians, members of groups opposing and supporting the city administration, began to quarrel in the town hall office of the Democratic city committee. All four drew pistols and began firing. Some of the combatants fled, pursued by others, firing as they ran. The combatants raced across tire open plaza, which was crowded with passers-by. Two policemen who interfered were shot for their pains. Their wounds, however, were not serious.
