MANY MORE ISSUES EVERY YEAR. POOLING OF THEIR RESOURCES. British Official Wireless. Rec. 5.5 p.m. Rugby, Sept. 10. The number of books issued annually by public libraries at London and in the home counties area has grown from 23,237,887 in 1924 to 56,905,176 last year, while in the same period books on the library shelves have increased from 3,139,804 to 6,537,870. By means of inter-library relations and links with the national central library for students individual readers, instead of being confined to the stock of nonfictional works at any library, have access to the resources of the entire area, comprising several million volumes.
