AFRICANS’ GOOD INNINGS. CAMERON COMPILES 160. By Telegraph—Press ASSP-— 'Copyright. London, Sept. 10. Facing a deficit of 217 on the first innings and with a day’s play ahead the South Africans concluded their tour with a courageous innings against Leve-gon-Gower's Eleven to save the match, which ended in a draw. The home team made 457 in the first innings and the South Africans made 240. They followed on to-day and with eight wickets down for 382 were in a position to declare. Leveson-Gower’s Eleven had lost one wicket for 45 when stumps were drawn. Cameron and Nourse stopped the rot when 'three wickets had fallen cheaply. Cameron lost Nourse when the latter had scored 76, and then went on to reach 160 before being caught off Bowes, Langton with 68 made South Africa s position secure. Scores:— SOUTH AFRICA.
