Rous, secretary of the Football Association, speaking at the British Association, condemned anti-soc-cer snobbery, for which he blamed schoolmasters who regarded Rugby as socially superior. He added that a London headmaster last year threatened to punish pupils attending soccer matches. On the contrary, the All Blacks when they arrived were anxious to see soccer.
