FOOTBALL “SNOBBERY”
SCHOOL ATTITUDE TO SOCCER. GOOD EXAMPLE OF ALL BLACKS. By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. Rec. 5.5 p.m. London, Sept. 10. Mr. S. F. Rous, secretary of the Football Association, speaking at the British Association, condemned anti-soc-cer snobbery, for which he blamed schoolmasters who regarded Rugby as socially superior. He added that a London headmaster last year threatened to punish pupils attending soccer matches. On the contrary, the All Blacks when they arrived were anxious to see soccer.
