WIFE GUILTY 01 MURDER. ARSENIC IN HIS PORRIDGE. By Telegraph—Press right. Sydney, Sept, 6. At the criminal court Mrs. Olive Gilson, aged 29, was sentenced to life imprisonment for the manslaughter of her husband, Edward Gilson, an insurance agent at Chatswood. a suburb of Sydney. Evidence was given that Mrs. Gilsop placed poison in her husband’s porridge on two the last time with fatal consequences. Her excuse was that she was afraid her husband intended taking their children from her, She used arsenic to make him sick and '‘bring him to his senses.”
