New Variety of Blackberry.
A new fruit of large size and unique flavour, developed from the blackberry, is reported from California. (Known as the hoysenberry, the fruit is threq, times the size of a blackberry, and; its flavour is said to be a combination ’of that of the loganberry, the and the blackberry. It is apparently already in strong demand and the few growers in California who have plants are increasing their stock to supply the requirements of nurserymen.
