CONVERSION OF MOTOR-CARS. THE POSITION INTOLERABLE. By'Telegraph—Press Association. • Wellington, Sept 4. Mr. J. G. Cobbe, Minister of Justice, said to-day in regard to the unlawful conversion of cars tha* the position was intolerable and he had instructed the law draftsman to prepare amendments to the Police Offences Act for submission to Parliament this session. He had promised that the law 'would be amended and that the penalty would be made’ very drastic.
