GOLF TOURNAMENT
SOUTH TARANAKI PROGRAMME. ANNOUNCEMENT OF DRAv/. The seventh South Taranaki women’s golf tournament will open at Hawera today and will be • continued to-morrow and on Thursday. Entries have been received from the three Wanganui clubs, and from Eltham, Stratford, Waverley and Patea, while good support has been received from local players. The events are championship, Fairfield handicap, medal round senior and junior, handicap bogey match senior and junior, four-ball bogey competition, handicap bogey match senior and junior, Canadian foursomes, and continuous putting. To-day’s programme will be: Morning, first qualifying round for championship and Fairfield handicap and medal handicap played in conjunction, teams match; afternoon, secod qualifying round. The draw for the first qualifying round of the championships is: 9 a.m., Mrs. Casey and Mrs. Walkley; 9.5, Mrs. Quin and Mrs. Dalgetty; 9.10, Mrs. Morton and Mrs. Cook; 9.15, Miss G. Syme and Miss M.
