FURTHER REMAND

GIG AND BICYCLE COLLISION. On remand from Monday last week, William Kearney, Midhirst, appeared at the Stratford Court yesterday morning on charges arising out of an accident involving his gig and a motor-cycle ridden by Brian Gilbert. Kearney appeared in court to face charges of being intoxicated while ip charge of a horse and cart and of failing to provide a light on his cart at night. When the case came before Mr. W. Mclnnes, justice of the peace, yesterday morning, Constable W. Hughes applied for a further remand for a wes. The injured youth was still in hospital in a serious condition, he stated, and subsequent po l ce action would depend on the youth's recovery. The remand was granted to Monday, September 9, bail being renewed on .the same terms as before. .
