BUILDING BOOM
MUCH WORK AT INVERCARGILL. 130 PER CENT. MORE THAN IN 1931 By Telegraph—Press Association. Invercargill, Last Night. The building, boom at Invercargill, far from showing signs of waning, is increasing. Returns for August disclose „ that the total value for which permits were issued was £17,277, compared with £10,368 in August last year and £12,732 in July last. For the eight months of this year the , value of permits is about £116,854, compared with £51,675 for the corresponding period in 1934 ? an increase of nearly 130 per cent. '
