NEW FREQUENCIES

DOMINION RADIO STATIONS.

2YB ON 760 KILOCYCLES.

Coinciding with changes to be made in wave-lengths of Australian broadcasting stations alterations in the frequencies of some of the New Zealand B radio stations will be made after the stations close down this evening. The stations affected will broadcast on their new wavelengths to-morrow. The alterations are being made to avoid interference from Australia as has been the case with 2YB, New Plymouth, during recent broadcasts.

The stations affected, the present wavelengths in parentheses, and new wavelengths are as follow: 2YB New Plymouth (750), 760 kilocycles (395 metres); IZH Hamilton (770), 850 kilocycles (353 metres); 2ZR Nelson (1360), 920 kilocycles (326 metres); 2ZB, 4ZM, OZO Dunedin (1050), 1010 kilocycles (297 metres).
