TENNIS AT KOHURATAHI
ANNUAL MEETING OF CLUB. At the annual meeting of the Kohuratahi Tennis Club on Monday Mr. J. D. Law presided over a fair attendance of members. In reviewing the activities of the club the chairman said the year had been a very successful one, the club having had the largest membership for some years. Cups for the women’s and men’s handicap singles were won by Miss M. Bacon and J. Casey. The balance-sheet showed
a credit balance of £24 6s 3d. The following officers were elected: Patron, Mr. N. R. Cleland; president, Mr. J. D. Law; vice-president, Mr. C. E. Bacon; secretary, Mr. K. Bacon; club captain, Mr. J. E. Ewart; vice-captain, Mr. J. E. O’Kane; committee, Messrs. E. Cleland, J. Nickel, D. Law and J, E. O’Kane, Misses M. Bacon and G. Cleland and Mrs. O’Kane, club captain and secretary; handicappers for the singles competition, Messrs. E. Cleland and J. E. O’Kane, Miss M. Bacon and Mrs. C’Kane. It was decided to top-dress the courts and no date for opening day was therefore fixed in the meantime.
