Mr. B. S. Coupe, Te Kiri, Taranaki, whose grade Friesian herd has headed his district' group herd- testing averages for the past three seasons, has two grade Friesian cows that on production measure up to the ideal cow for dairying. For the seasons 1930-1 to 1934-35 Rinty’s herd testing figures are 4031 b (4 years), 4421 b (5 years), 4541 b (6 years), 4051 b (7 year, 4451 b (8 years), average length of season, 284 days,'yand Vera’s figures are 4011 b (9 years), 4401 b (10 years), 4241 b (11 years), 3981 b (12 .years),..434lb (13 years), average length of season, 295 days. ' Both clows are still sound.
