SUCCESSFUL EVENINGS

NGAERE HALL INADEQUATE. Members of the Ngaere Social Society have every reason to be gratified at ‘he outstanding success of the last of the series of euchre parties and dances held on Wednesday night. The success of the series has been so great that the society intends holding a wind-up nightin addition a special effort will in all probability be made at a later date to raise fluids for additions to the hall, which has become inadequate to accommodate the increasing attendances. The winners of the novelty dances on Wednesday were:. Monte Carlo, Miss E. Coleman and Mr. W. On; old maid medley, Miss A. Cust and Mr. Lloyd; mystery train, Mr. and Mrs. H. Martin. The masters of ceremonies were wlessrs. E. Pope and P. Martin. Extras were played by Miss H. Henry and Mr. G. Carter. Euchre results were: Miss F. Walker Miss Rowe 2, Miss Z. Campbell 3; Mr. Dowds 1, Mr. H. Martin 2, Mr. Slight 3, Points prizes were won by Mrs. Wolfe and Mr. P. Wisnewski.
