WHISPERING CAMPAIGN SUGGESTION TO COMPANY “MR. ROOSEVELT INSANE” ADMISSIONS TO SENATE By Telegraph—Press Assn.-Copyright Rec. 8 p.m. Washington, Aug. 1. Another sensation occurred to-day during the Senate’s investigation into the Utilities Companies lobbying complaint,, when E. P. Cramer (New Jefsey), an advertising man, admitted he had suggested mouths ago in correspondence , with Utilities Officials that the companies start a whispering campaign that President Roosevelt was insane. Senator Black (chairman) demanded: Did you have any basis for attempting to create the impression that the President was insane? ■ '■ “None whatever,” replied Cramer, who z admitted he was ashamed of what he had done.
