Christchurch, Aug. 1. “You planned and executed a deliberate raid upon society and your record would indicate that you decided to embark on a life of crime,” said Mr. Justice Northcroft in the Supreme Court to-day in sentencing Albert William Gauntlett to three years’ imprisonment for breaking and entering Hay’s Ltd. and stealing £470. Ralph Crosby, alias Trevor Forte, who was associated with Gauntlett; was sentenced to two years’ reformative detention. • ? .
