WHAT SACRIFICES?

REPLY MADE TO SIR A. HERDMAN. SIR ALFRED RANSOM'S COMMENT. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Aug. 2. Interviewed to-day, the actihg-Prime Minister, Sir Alfred Ransom, said he was disinclined to discuss in general terms the political statement made by Sir Alexander Herdman. Sir Alfred said an opportunity would be taken to reply -when Sir Alexander announced details of his policy. There was one point, however, that he desired to refer to. That was the statement by Sir Alexander regarding the sacrifices made by the people during the depression. Sir Alfred said it would be interesting to know what sacrifices Sir Alexander had made in his country’s interest. -- ---- ■
