Little Etceteras Worth Noting
row, demonstrates two other features which promise a great 'following for the coming season, one of them being the draped neckline and the other the three-quarter length bell sleeve.
Sleeves are going to be of great interest because except for a few decided trends it seems as though almost any kind of bell will be worn. One very important innovation, apart from the standardising of lengths . . . elbow, three-quarter and full ... is that at the shoulders most will be ; flat with a ballooning towards or at the elbow and if the sleeve decides to go right to the wrist the chances ai*e that it’will’go full out all the way with gathering on to a wrist band. If it stops short just above the wrist level it will probably hang in a bell, if higher still it may be terminated in one of those pouched sleeves as demonstrated in the frock at the end of the upper row and in the suit third from left on the lower row. Belts and buttons, V and round neckline, jackets-nipped-in-at-the-waist or swagger, wide lapels to coats, lace faggoting Venetian embroidery, rouleau trimming, shorter skirts, and pockets especially on skirts are all worth mentioning as things that will be worth noticing in the near future.
