By Telegraph—Press Association. Palmerston N., Last Night. The will of the late Thomas Richard Moore, Terrace End, who died on July 23, provides for many charitable bequests. The estate is a very rich One and, even after the payment of Substantial sums to educational and charitable organisations, the residuary legatee, the T. G. McCarthy Trust, will receive a handsome amount. The will directs that Mr. Moores valu able collection of Maori curios shall be given to such museum MS the trustee thinks fit. . . Subject to a prior life interest, > the sum of £5O per annum is bequeathed to All Saints’ Children’s Home, Palmerston North, for all time. The income oft a sum of £5OO is to be kept in perpetual trust for Palmerston North Boy Scouts. Several prizes of £5 per annum, to be awarded by the governors of Christ s College, Christchurch (his old School), for specified branches of learning and sporting events are provided for. The balance of the income from a specified asset is allotted for such charitable or educational purposes or institutions in. Christchurch city as his trustee thinks fit. Subject to the payment of certain annuities the following provisions ate to be made from the residue of-the estate: £5OO to St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Palmerston North, subject to the fulfilment of a certain condition; £5OO to the Society for the Health of Women and Children (Plunket Society), Palmerston North brarich; £2OOO to Christs College to establish a.T. R. Moore scholarship for the best Latin and English scholars. The income from the balance of the residue is to be paid for all time to the board of governors of the T. G. McCarthy Trust for such Charitable and educational purposes or institutions at Palmerston North and Napier in such manner, in such shares and to such extent as the board of governors thinks fit. The estate is a very Valuable one and the annual income which will ultimate- . jy be available for the T. G. McCarthy Trust gift will be considerable.
