THIRD PARTY POSSIBILITY

The possibility that Senator Huey Long may head a third party in opposition to President Roosevelt was indicated today. I would bolt from any convention which nominated him President. I may not go to the Democratic Convention. We may have to have a Democratic convention cf cur own. “I am willing to join any party, Republican or Democratic, or anything else, that puts over my ’share wealth’ programme. Roosevelt’s ‘new deal’ has the worst features of Fascism, concentrated wealth, Communism and Socialism without any of the good features of any of these.” ;
